ABOUT CUSHLA DEALY

A child of New Zealand born parents of Irish descent, I was raised in the nineteen forties and fifties. The influence of the family and the Catholic schools I attended encouraged an interest in Ireland.  Books on history and genealogy became a passion and led me to writing two books about my family history.

First of all excuse me for gushing - the information you have collated is such a revelation to me, i had no idea of the family history apart from knowing a few names, this has been such a precious read for me. I like the structure of the chapters, helps to make sense of the lineage as i flick back and forth. The personal anecdotes, quotes and letters are wonderful and the photos, i have a couple of the ones in your book but have never had a context to view them from until now. I want to say thank you for putting the time into your book, having this knowledge of our family history means so much.
